Managed Services, Senior Engineer
SpringPoint is searching for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Managed Services team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to the team and be responsible for solution design, project implementation and T3 escalations across a broad client base and multiple technologies (server, network, cloud, etc.) This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to juggle competing priorities, and implementation of projects on schedule and within budgeted project hours. You will work closely with a project manager to set and manage client expectations, serve as a technical SME in project meetings and ensure overall client satisfaction.
Technology Exposure:
- Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems as well as Office 2013/ 2016/O365
- Familiarity with common Windows Server roles such as AD, DNS, DFS, and Hyper-V
- Familiarity with networking basics including static routes and VPNs
- Familiarity with common networking hardware brands
- Virtualization experience
- Active Directory and Group Policy Management
- Basic understanding of common cybersecurity concepts such as MFA and least privilege access
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments; especially OneDrive, SharePoint and Exchange Online
- Microsoft Azure and other cloud technologies
- Experience working in small/medium business environments
- Experience with common server backup technologies (Datto, StorageCraft, Acronis)
